Stomach ST 36 Zusanli
Gall Bladder GB 34 Yanglingquan
Large Intestine ST 37 Shangjuxu
Small Intestine ST 39 Xiajuxu
Bladder BL 40 Weizhong
San Jiao BL 39 Weiyang
All He (Sea) Points relate to digestion and water metabolism. Treat
excess Fu organ conditions. DO NOT tonify these points because it leads to Qi
stagnation. Sedate or neutral manipulation only. Points may be used for
diagnosis (palpation).
Stomach: Treats Middle Jiao - epigastrium, lower esophagus, lower abdomen
(right & left sides) along ST channel.
Gall Bladder: Treats hypochondrium ST channel area as well as Dai Mai.
Large Intestine: Abdomen along Tianshu (ST 25) area below and either side
of lower rib. Also along Ren Mai from Huaroumen (ST 24) to Shuidao (ST 28).
Small Intestine: Pain around umbilicus 1 cun above to 3 cun below and 1
cun either side.
Bladder: Relates to bladder area, 4 & 5 cun below umbilicus. (Difficult
urination, infection, etc. Not for gynaecology or genital problems.)
San Jiao: Abdomen & chest from Danzhong (RN 17) to Guanyuan (RN 4). Treat
moving pain due to Qi blockage.

Yuan Points are where the primary Qi of the Zhang-Fu is retained. Primary
(Source) Qi is maintained by SP and along with Pre-Natal Qi is stored in the Dan
Tian. Distributed through San Jiao to whole body. Strong Source Qi means good
health. Illness always damages Source Qi.
All Yuan points are located on the wrist or ankle. Used for diagnosis and
treatment of the corresponding organ. Treat deficiency and excess.
Treatment Methods:
Combine Yin & Yang Yuan Points to treat Zhang-Fu problems.
Combine upper body Yuan Points with those of lower body. i.e. Bilateral
puncturing of Taichong & Hegu (Four Gates) treat LV Qi stagnation.
Combine with corresponding Luo (Connecting) point. Called 'Host-Guest'
Theory'
Problem in both Yin & Yang organs - Use Yuan point of organ that first
manifested disease, then Luo point of secondary meridian.
Problem goes deeper on same meridian, e.g. like chronic cold turning to
asthma, use Yuan & Luo of same channel.
Combine Yuan points with Back-Shu points. Treats chronic problems, e.g.
Yin def, Cold syndrome, Jing deficiency [Taixi + Shenshu], cough [Taiyuan +
Feishu].
Combine Yuan points with He (Sea) points. e.g. SP/ST disharmony - combine
Yin (Yuan) & Yang (He) [Taibai + Zusanli]. Or Yuan and He of same channel [Hegu
+ Quchi for LV]
